The Shane Pruitt Band is bringing its raw, refined, explorative, and expressive brand of blues all across the Southeast. The trio features Shane Pruitt on guitarand vocals, Bill Fletcher on drums and vocals, and Jim Peterman on the Hammond organ and vocals. Shane, the young exciting, energetic blues guitarist, was voted the Upstate's guitarist of the year by Metro magazine. Little Jimmy Peterman, former keyboardist with the Steve Miller Band and former talent scout with Elektra records, is enjoying the freedom that the trio provides. The influence of such blues greats as Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, and Paul Butterfield is still evident in all three of there styles. Drummer-vocalist Bill Fletcher most recently has been playing with Robin Rogers, up and coming blues queen from Charlotte and with Cocktail Frank. He has a warm, honest blue-eyed soulful style.
